Bouquet of Roses

By Jeanie Tomasko

I love [you] all the way to the secret
anatomy down which the bee travels
[stamen] by heart [pistil] by summer

Light breaks morning you[r] cry
quivering [sepal, stem, petal]
to [yes] the secret the rose keeps

And I [vase] as on a table bearing all this [nectar]
